Lazy Sunday !!!!

Well that just about sums up my plans for today...lol It is freezing rain outside this morning and - 10, that is just about enough to keep this momma cozy inside the house. Treehouse is on the big screen and Makenna has a front row seat...lol

I am thinking the bed sheets could be washed and i am certain that there are always a few loads of laundry that are floating around. I also could start the declutteration in preparation for all the christmas crap...lol !!! I have a lot of christmas stuff i take out and decorate with so a lot of our photos and ornaments have to be put away.

Thats my plan for this lazy sunday....

GYMNASTICS PLAYGROUP !!!

So today we started a new playgroup called "Gym"Bore... Well all i can say is wow...it was awsome... There must have been 20 kids there and it went from 10.30am to noon. what a fun morning....especially considering the fact that it was - 37 outside.

The kiddies had a bawl...Makenna was in heaven...so we are slowly filling our schedule up. We have skating on Tuesday, Gymnastics on Wednesday,Storytime at the library & Skating on Thurdaday & Gymbore playgroup on Friday...we are pretty busy.....LOL

I really am gonna try to update this thing weekly...time is flying by...

I'm Back...

This was a video i took of Makenna sledding on Cold Lake...we are actullay having a great winter here...lots of sun, lots of snow....and really nice temps...not too cold...now after saying that...i am sure to awaken to a full blown nor easter...lol

So i havent been on here since August.....right about when i really became addicted to crackbook...i resisted for so long then it was like bam...addict !!!

I really do like Facebook don't get me wrong...i am just not sure what i did online before it came around...i find i am on MSN way less and use FB as a messaging service these days.

I really do want ot update this blog...maybe not everyday...but at least every week...

I wanna take this time ot send my love and prayers to the community of Bathurst, New Brunswick...during this diffucult time....i did not know those boys but my heart is breaking for their famalies and friends... their lives were cut far too short.

I think i am reflecting a lot on my own life weighing the pros and the cons of my decsions...my leson seems to be live life ot the fullest cause you never know when it's going to be taken away from you...

Just a thought......

Blogging MOJO !!!

I seem to have lostmy blogging mojo this past month....and what a busy month it has been...

I think part of it is to blame due to my new FaceBook addiction...more time there = less time on here...LOL

MARCH, MARCH, MARCH.....where did you go ???

We had a lot of company coming and going this past month....It started with The Sheas for the first weekend....then Jacqueline & Makya came out from PEI for 10 days. They toured Cold Lake and got a first hand idea what it will be like to live here. As they will be moving out this end of May....to be with Jordan.

There were some birthdays this month as well.

~A big Happy Birthday wish goes out to Melsha !!!!

~And hugs and kisses go out ot my sister Roberta as well !!!

This past weekend wrapped up March with a fun event here in Cold Lake, Scraptacular...it was a 3 day scrapbooking event....It was a tonne of fun...I took in a class and got some really neat new products.

April Fools Day, was also my brother Scott's birthday !!! So we had a little get together...

And now i am in recovery from a Tooth Ache gone Wild !!!

It all started on sunday afternoon, i started to get a bad
toothache...the pain was unbearable....i got some T3's from my brother
around 9.30pm that night......but i never slept a wink....i couldn't....I
called my Dentists office at around 8pm....just to leave them a
message....

I was up tossing and turning all night.....they called at 7.30am....they
could see me at 8.30am...I had a tooth that had cracked and was abscess and severely
infected.....YIKES !!!! So they thought it best to pull it, to make sure
they got all the infection....they big time froze my mouth.......and i
didn't even know.....

They had pulled it when it was done....I love my Dentist he is so
good....

So my left side of my face is puffed out like a balloon....nice eh? It
will be swelled for the next few days....

So this is serious stuff, cause where the infection was was in my sinus
cavity.....and that drains into the brain...People can die from that if
it's not treated....

I am on Penicillin, another antibiotic and of course
T3's.......honestly all i thought was maybe i have a cavity.....and i
was at the dentist like less than 6 months ago....

these past couple of days...she must have known.....i
think she could sense it....I am drinking lots of fluids...but i cant
eat (well i can as long as i chew on the other side) but physically i
went to eat something last night and i almost threw up.....I'm on water
today.....

Maybe i've invented a new diet.....LOL

I went to bed last 2 nights at like 8.50pm and i slept straight thru till
9am......i heard a little girl beside me saying wake up mom....

The T3's just knock me out......there is still a lot of swelling but the
pain is more bearable......i might take another T3 but they are so
powerful....i pretty much just need to lie down then....

I have been in my Jammies all week...loving that part of it.....LOL

And now today.....

Happy Birthday to my Daddy !!! Who is sunning himself on the beach in Florida as I type !!!

Okay !!!

So It was my sister in law Tracy's birthday on February 28th....but it was a pretty low key affair...

Kenny discovered he was off for the weekend so we invited some friends up from the city...they arrived on Friday evening and we sat around and talked and watched TV....

The girls....Me, Melsha, Emily, Erin, Sharon & Carolyn & My little Makenna....all went out and hit the mall on Saturday, we shopped and shopped and then went to Boston Pizza for lunch....we even dipped into the Pina Coladas.....They were yummy....

Saturday was absolutly beautiful....it was sunny and warm here !!! YEEHAW !!!

We were planning another night out on the town.... some of the girls came over here and we drank a little before hand then it was off to the Camels Toe....we took a taxi to Legends and had one hell of a night....I remember the last song i danced to Hot in Here by Nelly....LOL...oh all the memories....LOL

We all had a tonne of fun and a good night was had by all....once again the pictures tell the story....

We went for brunch on sunday our campany went home and Kenny, Makenna & I relaxed all sunday afternoon and evening.... We took a quick pilgrimage out to Wal-mart Sunday evening and that was pretty much it...

I watched Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters and then was off to bed...

I had an extreamly quiet day today....spent in my PJ's and a lot of time on the phone....I talked to my mom, my sister, Tracey,my dad & my step mother (Who are sunning themselves in Florida for the next 2 months.....).

I also spent alot of time on the phone with a very good friend who had a really rotten day !!! And i just hope she knows that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that....

RECAP !!!

OMG !!! I think FACEBOOK has actully taken over my life...okay thats a bit dramatic. I am stillgetting laundry doane but man oh man my internet time is being consumed... here is a recap of the past couple of weeks.

Rewind to February 24...

We all went out to celebrate my girlfriend Melanies Birthday !!! We had way too much fun, we started drinkin at her place....she has just returned from a month long trip to her boyfriends in Texas...he is a pilot in the US Air Force and has just returned from duty in Iraq.

We missed her big time....and she came home put her house on the market and it sold in 4 hours....that must be a record....so now shes leaving us to move to rinky dinky Witcha Falls, Texas with Trey.... ((((HUGS))) !!!!

So needless to say her birthday was a real girls night out !!!

I will follow with some photos...I belive they speak for them selves....LOL

PEI POTATOES !!!!

Okay, so that was a big find today....it's kinda funny how when you live away from home for a while it's the little things that make you miss home more.

I was os excited when i saw these in the grocery store today !!! Made me miss home a tonne though....i mean we always have PEI Mussels and good ole ADL cheese....but PEI Potatoes really bring me home....I grew up on a Potatoe farm !!!

So i have been a bad bad blogger...MIA !!!

I went to Edmonton on Friday and never came home till Monday afternoon...we had a great visit with the Shea's...and Angela too !!!

Spent 8 hours at West Ed shopping on saturday, we had lunch at Jungle Jims, we were very tired by the end of the day...

Sunday we toured around Edmonton, hit up Costco....

The roads were great....Makenna and i made a stop into Pizza Delight on Monday for lunch and to pick up a treat for Daddy & Uncle Scott...

This week flew by.....I find it hard to believe it is already Friday...Sheesh !!!

Pretty quiet week around here, lots of time on FACEBOOK.....

The OC ended forever last night and i am still mourning the loss of that...Greys was absolutly freaking amazing...thanks for not killing Meredith...

Happy Valentines Day !!!

Well i cant believe the week is half gone...where did that go???

So pretty quiet week around here....really really cold....like -43 yesterday morning....Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

So we had a wonderful Valentines Day, My DH got me the car kit to insert my ipod into my car....YEAH !!! I love it !!!

Works like a charm....no more burning CD's for this girly...

We went out tonight ot Boston Pizza for our annual V Day supper....and Makenns was a big girl sitting in a booster seat by her dad....she never even tried to get up....(BOO HOO HOO) (Tears) !!!!

My little baby is becoming a big girl....I was almost in tears at the table...I actually admitted out loud to my DH, soon time for another car seat.....motioning to the kind you need to carry with my hands....LOL

So BABY FEVER is definatly in the air........Perhaps if everyone around me stopped having them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My cousin Joey and his wife Chelsey just had twin girls (Layla & Kyla), his sister my cousin Sarah had a little boy (Dylan), my other cousin Kyla & Jason just had (Ryder), my girlfriend Caroyln is Due in August and my girlfriend Melshe is in the process of trying to get pregnant....LOL

It is babies all around.....im drowing in baby brain !!!

Speaking of babies, Makenna made out like a bandit today, she got a new Tommy Tee Shirt from Grampa & Marie, a dance mat, a doctors kit, new books, kinder surprise & a new my little pony DVD from mommy & daddy....plus she still has gift cards coming in the mail from uncle Jeff, Grammie and godo nly knows who....LOL

Tomorrow is TV THURSDAY !!! I am super pumped....

Then on friday i am off ot the city for some retail therapy and a good visit with my partner in crime Melsha.....LOL

My cousin Angela is coming out from PEI too, so we are hitting up The West Edmonton Mall all day saturday.....Yee Haw !!!!

Lululemon, Hollister, Old Navy, Yogen Fruz, Childrens Place, The Body Shop, JYSK, The gap, A & E ,too many stores to name.....so excited....

Friday Melsha and i are going to hit up Costco & Toys R Us....then to my FAV restaurant for dinner.....CHILIS !!!

Saturday is WEM DAY, then hopefully go see the movie Catch & Relase that night....for any of you who dont know...Melsha & I used to run a movie theatre on PEI.....Good Ole Empire Theatres Studio 5, in Summerside PEI. She was the theatre manager and i was the assistant manager....Good times !!!!

Not sure yet the plan for sunday......and not sure when i am coming home....Monday is family day here in alberta so its a holiday....not that they mean much to me....us silly SAHM's....LOL

I barely know the days of the week. I probably wouldn't if it wasn't for Star Choice...LOL

A SIMPLE BIRTHDAY CARD WILL MAKE A WISH COME TRUE !!!

As a rule, I don't cry easily....(NOT), but anything to do with children and tragedy will get me going. This evening I saw a news story that did just that. It struck me again how easy it easy it is to help a stranger, if only we'd try.

Shane Bernier is a 7 year old cancer patient at Lancaster hospital and he has a wish. Although he's lost all of his hair, Shane's bright smile and cheery personality have made him a hit with the staff. In spite of all he's experienced & everything he's yet to face, his wish is the kind only a sweet innocent would think of.

For his 8th birthday, Shane would like to break a record; simply to become the person who has received the most birthday cards.That's it. And it humbles me beyond belief.

January Here & Gone....

Gosh...i think Facebook is really cutting into my blogging time....

So we had another pretty quiet week around here....I did a lot of baking and cleaned my house from top to bottom...

Jacqueline came out on Friday from PEI and she is here till Tuesday, so we have been enjoying her visit...

I spent most of the weekend grocery shopping and touring around with her showing her Cold Lake and all the sights....

Jordan picked her up at the airport on Friday and he stopped in Fort Saskatchewan at Pizza Delight and grabbed us some of our favourite treats (Bacon & cheese Garlic Fingers & a Donair Pizza)....YUMMY !!!

We went out for a nice supper on saturday night at the Outrider Steakhouse....it was yummy....I am convinced they have the best drinks in Cold Lake.....

I was also suspossed to og out with the girls on Saturday night...I came home changed out of my dinner clothes and got dressed to go to the bar... I even got the blender out ot make some drinks.... then it hit me...i sat down on the edge of my bed and felt a wave of tiredness....It was pathetic, i lost my energy....It was crazy....I called the girls and gracefully bowed out...

I changed yet again in to my Pj's and crawled in to bed and watched a movie, Material Girls....it was cute.....we aslo have Jackass 2 & The Giridon Gang to still watch....

Thats pretty much it in a nutshell....i think i am gonna repeat last nights preformance and crawl into bed with another movie...

What A Week...

Gosh we sure were hit last wek with a lot of things going wrong....

Charly is still adjusting ot life without Oreo, i am playing with her as much as i can and she seems to be finding a new spot to sleep between my legs in the bed each night...LOL...silly dog.

Smokey came home on Thursady night, we were sitting down to eat supper and Makenna yelled out kitty, kitty....and there he was at the patio door crying to get in...he was so dirty, he had to hit the tub right away....really just glad to have him back.

Pretty quiet weekend, not really feeling 100%, maybe I am lacking vitamin D...who knows....just really lazy and uber tired theses days...

NO MELSHA I AM NOT PREGNANT !!!

Didn't do much friday night...and spent saturday night up till 1 am on the phone with Melsh...LOL......sunday was a write off...

Today was pretty quiet around here too, i made Quiche Lorraine for supper with a cesar salad....and watched What About Brian....now i am off to bed...

Thanks for all the emails and calls about Oreo, it was really appreciated. I will really miss my little furbaby...god love her...Thanks everyone...

MIA

Well....I don't even know where to begin with this one....so here goes.....on Tuesday Jan 16, in the afternoon we all were outside playing, somehow out cat Smokey got out too....notthat unusual as he is always getting out and running round the yard.....

I called him and called him on tuesady but he never came back, his normal procedure is to sit by the patio door in the dining room and meow till i let him in....so i kept checking and checking and checking....No Smokey....

Our neighbors do have a large reanch and the breed horses and heve lots of cats in the barns...so i thought maybe he might be over there, he has gone there before, but he never seems to be away for any length of time more than a few hours....

I drove around yesterday looking for him...........no cat....

Now today still no cat.....0.this is very uncharacteristic of him or his behaviour. He is the kind of cat that eats like a pig and needs constant affection from humans, he likes nothing more than to sit at the side of the tub while we bathe and sleeps under the blankets of our bed....with us....

So coming this afternoon it will be 2 days since i've seen him and i am extreamly worried....i am having all kinds of thoughts.....what if he got hurt ???.....what if he got in a fight???.....what if it was him that Oreo was chasing yesterday morning???......

I am left with no answers only worry..........My head is aching..............I think it's worse not knowing where he is than knowing his fate......

O R E O

Well we are not having a very good mornig around here....Kenny got up at like 5am like usual, put Charly & Oreo out to pee like usual.....and Charly came in and came back upstaris to bed, and thne like 10 mins later kenny came in and said that Oreo wasn't coming for him at all......

I got up started calling her, still no answer.....I said well just leave her out then and ill come back down in a few mins and she will probably be at the door looking to get in.....so i went back upstairs and got into bed....She often goes to the horse fields and roams around and never answers us when we call her but usually we can see her mind you at 5.20am its still dark....

The next thing i hear is Shannon. Shannon, it's kenny calling me............As my brother was coming in he noticed the dog up along the highway lying on the side of the road..........he didint realize it was Oreo till Kenny said we couldn't find her....sure enough we went up and it was her......she was hit by something and was already gone....

Holy cow i am rippin right now, what made her go up to the road.????

She never goes up there......who hit her.........??? Thanks for stopping,no just leave her there to die......she had her collar on and tags.....are people really that busy in their own lives.....???

I am so mad right now at her for going to the road and at the person who hit her..............for not even stopping...poor charly she is moping around, not sure what going on.....my poor little Oreo....gone to heaven to watch over us all...

Sleeping Beauty....

OMG...okay so last night was so super weird.....i was sitting here talking on the phone to Melsha and Kenny & Makenna were gone to bed....or so i thought, the next thing i hear in my little monkey at the top of the stairs whinning for me....kinda weird her and dad go to bed every night together.

So i get off the phone and go up to lie down with her....I remember looking atthe clock and it was like 9.30pm...she was not in sleep mode. I remember singing twinkle, twinkle....her constant requests for Dora....and "night mom, i you" (Translation "night mom, I love you").

I am not sure who fell asleep first .....the next thing i know it's 5am.....Yikes....I missed What About Brian. i slept in my clothes and above the covers....What is happening to me....

I woke up, got up, made Kenny lunch and i honestly felt like i was just coming out of a coma....that had to be the deepest sleep i've been in in a long time...

I stayed up till 5.45am, i called back home ot Hearts & Flowers and ordered an arrangement for Irene's wake and funeral....then i went back to slepp till 9.25am...

My whole day seemed a little off, and i am SUPER PISSED that i missed What About Brian, one of my fav shows...

Spent the whole day at home, played outside thank god the tempurature rose around here it was only -1 and it was sunny...

I'm makin supper right now and have a ham in the oven so i'd best get going....thats all from here anyways...

It is with a saddened heart that i am writing this post today.

One of our neighbors back home has passed away this past weekend.

Irene was loved by all and i'll always remember how warm and friendly she was to everyone she met. Her gardens and her family were her pride and joy.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

spent the weeekend doing not too much... Kenny was off...YEAH !!!!

I was up real late friday night on the phone with Melsha just talking about old times...LOL

We didn't do too much yesterday , it was too friggin cold out... went out for a little while but really never even got out of the car.

We had some company coming up from Edmonton to stay with us for the night, so we were kinda just hanging around waiting for them to arrive.

Curtis, Ray, Cat & Baby Ellie came in the late afternoon, Ellie is just 2 months old. What a cutie....she sure made the old biological clock tick....LOL

We all went out ot Boston Pizza for supper and then came home, had a few beers, watched Rickey Bobby, and all fell asleep...

At around 6.20am i was lying in bed beside Makenna and Kenny......YES WE CO-SLEEP !!! We couldn't pay Makenna to leave our bed...LOL

Anyways all of a sudden i woke up i heard a strange sound, ahhh, ahhh, ahhh... I looked around Kenny & Makenna were snoring soundly, Smokey (the cat)was all curled up in a deep sleep...I knew it wasn't the dogs....

Oh right, the baby...LOL

So okay you know your a mom when you recognize the cry from another child....LOL....she was hungry and her dad was up getting her a bottle.

We went out this afternoon to my brothers and did the Wal-Mart, Superstore & Sobeys thing....restocked the shelves in the Munn household...and got some goodies!

We ate supper and now i am off to watch Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters tonight...

Our Neighbor....and friend...

Family and friends were shocked to learn Wednesday of the death of well-known and loved Island businessman, Bobby Clow.

Bobby passed away Tuesday night at Moncton Hospital after suffering a stroke last week.

He ran Clow's Red and White General Store in Hampshire with his wife, Verna, for decades.

To many, Bobby Clow was the heart of the community of Hampshire.

"He was just a great guy. He made everybody's day brighter. He always had a laugh and he had a great ability to laugh at himself and that's a quality not a lot of people have, He was always a joy to be around."

My thoughts and prayers go out to Verna, Norman & JoAnne, Ronnie & Lynn, Gary & Lana, Ellie, Darcy, Mia, Gracyn, Abigail & Alex.

You are in our hearts.

Peek A Boo ...

I was siting in the living room yesterday and i kept hearing this noise like something unrolling... as if that is a sound but thats what it seemed like.

Now darling daughter is in this new stage where she never answers when you call her... I knew she was in the Den which is where the majority of her toys are and it is where she watches TV and plays...

I wasn't really paying close attention to her i'll admit that fact....I was browsing around sheknows and W2W.... reading all the posts....i am such a lurker on those sites....

Anyways i finally go look to see what the problem was and those pictures are what i find... thank you Rubbermaid for that great new wrapping paper container... I had put it in the spare room and i guess idle wild down there got into it...

I couldnt get mad, i just laughed and grabbed my camera.... we then turned it into a runway and she struted her stuff... my Dh came home and was like do you know that that roll of your favourite cat and dog paper is all over the place.... mind you this is like 4 hours later...

I was like yes honey thanks for the tip.

Happy New Years Day !!!

Well we spent new years eve going out for dinner at The Outrider Steakhouse. We had a yummy delcious dinner and a few nice creamy strawberry drinks.

We were home by 9pm and kenny & Makenna were in bed by 9.30pm. I stayed up till 12.30am watching Erin Brochovich. I love the movie....

My husband and brother spent most of the weekeknd laying hardwood flooring in my brothers basement...

On New Years Day, Kenny had to go out ot the rig to start the light plant (Whatever that is), so Makenna and i decided to load up and go along out to Wolf Lake too. It was nice being able to see where he spends many of his hours in the day....

We had a quiet night and Kenny went back to work on Tuesday. I had to go out and pay some bills and run a few errends.

I spent most of the week at home just cleaning and hanging out....

As well Makenna has the flu and is only now starting to come around. She woke u wednesday night trrowing up, then when that was over the dirreah followed. she finally ate some dry toast this morning. So thats a plus.

I was susposed to be off to a scrapping party tonight with Nola but it has been cancelled, not sure why... so instead Sharon, Erin & I are going to the late show to see WE ARE MARSHALL !!!

I have been waiting for it to come to go see it....

Another Year In Alberta ...

Well it seems like another year has flown by here in Alberta. It seems like just the fact of living in Alberta has made the news this year... I am so tired of being asked questions about life in Alberta....and why we moved here....and when are we coming home....???

NEWSFLASH FOLKS !!!! THIS IS OUR HOME !!!! KENNY, MAKENNA & I are in fact ALBERTANS now!!!

It was a relativly quiet year for us in all actuality, really just spent a relazing year watching Makenna grow a little more every day... much quieter than the past couple of years with all the excitement in our lives...

Makenna and I went to visit my sister Roberta in January in Sidney, B.C. for a couple of weeks. My mom was there visiting and she came back here to Cold Lake with us for a couple of months. The winter was relativly quiet, nothing really special happened except lots of snow.

My best friend Tracey got engaged on Valentines day, so planning her wedding consumed our spring.

My nephew Vince and his girlfriend Jessica came out west from NS, in May to stay with us for the summer. We bought our very 1st ride on lawnmower and Kenny & I actually started fighting over who got to cut the grass...LOL

We adopted a puppy from the SPCA as well, a little border collie cross, her name is OREO. she is a cutie and a great companion for Charly.Makenna loved getting outside to play in her sandbox on the deck and going ot the park usually ended up in tears when she had to leave.

We took off to Jasper in June for a week for John & Tracey's wedding and a nice holiday in the mountains. We had an awsome time.

We spent lots of time at Sandy beach this summer. Tracey, John, Curtis & the dogs spent lots of long weekends up here this summer. July was really hot so we went out and picked up one of the last pools in the greater Tri City area...LOL !!! We had another houseguest arrive in July. Jordan Allen, one of Kenny's friends from PEI came out to work and is staying with us as well.

My mom came for another visit in late August, so it was nice to have her here again for another couple of months. We took in some berry picking.

Makenna turned 2 in September, and she sure finds ways to fill up my days.... she is a going concern and there is never a dull moment around this house.

We had a beautiful fall and spent lots of time outside.

Winter came very early this year and November saw lots of snow.....and very cold tempuratures, way earlier than normal. Kenny's Rig worked all the time right through all the changing seasons.

We took a lot of trips to Edmonton this year but not really anywhere else besides Lloydminister We had a great christmas and santa was very good to us. I decorated super early so i took it all down already and now we are back to normal. Whatever that is...LOL

I guess thats it from The Munn Family !!!

No real predictions for 2007 !!!

Not sure what the new year will hold for us, maybe some surprises !!! good ones for sure...

Last Saturday of 2006....

Well we got up early and went out grocery shopping with Carolyn, the we wandered the mall for a bit...

We went to Clark's for lunch, it was just so so....then we were offot Crappy tire to get one of those tree bags to store your artifical tree in....but surprise surprise, they were already sold out !!!

I came home, we took down the inflatable creatures in our front yard and played outside with our awsome new snowtube santa gave us.

We vegged out for a while in the afternoon, then went our to get some moves and to wal-mart for a few minutes...

Went out for lunch today with Makenna & Carolyn, to Boston Pizza. It was delicous... then we went to Wal-mart and did a little post christmas shopping...

I have to go grocery shopping tomorow as the turkey has seen its last meal. Kenny is thanking god for that.

Kenny and i were up late last night watching Rickey Bobby, the Story of Talledga Nights. It was really funny.

Tonight i am going to watch The Devil Wears Prada, i cant wait.... sharon and i had tried to see this one in the theatre but the film had a brain wrap and it got ruined.... (Remember those Melsha ...LOL)

I want to go see Charlottes web this weekend too !!!! or American Dreams if it comes to our theater. I also want to see We are Marshall.

Okay I am off to curl up on the couch and watch my movie !

Surprise, Surprise !!!

I almost forgot to announce this one.... we got some pretty exciting news on xmas eve. Carolyn, my best friend here in Cold Lake announced that she is expecting !!!!

YEAH !!! This will be baby number 2 for her & Keith and a little brother or sister for Sidney.

She is due in early August !!!

Merry Christmas to you all !!!

It was great, we had a fun filled but busy time....

We had to take Jordan to the airport on friday (22nd), so we went down to the city that afternoon. We went right to Fort Saskatchewan to have some late lunch at Pizza Delight ( Kenny's fav place ever !!!!).

Then we went to Sherwood park to visit with my cousins, the boys engaged in a poker game and before we knew it it was 10.30pm.....time to head to Edmonton International !!!

Jordan's flight left at 1.05am on the 23rd.....we left him at the airport around 11.30pm.....so he had lots of time....

Then Kenny, Makenna & I all headed over to Beaumont to Tracey & Johns to go to bed...we were tired.....

We got up Saturday morning and went out to do a little shopping, It was surprisingly calm.... really not all the busy.... We went to Costco, Old Navy, Wal-mart, Canadian tire and a million other spots in the mill woods mall....

We hung out for a little bit then Kenny, Makenna & I took off to Candy Cane lane.... We took a horse & wagon ride to see all the lights.....It was awesome....

Then Kenny took us to Swiss Chalet for the festive special....YUMMY !!!

We finally made it back to Tracey & Johns for a beer or too and then off to bed...

On sunday (Dec 24) we headed off and stopped at my cousin Deb & Don's in sherwood park again for a visit then headed out.....

Of course we made yet another stop at Pizza Delight !!!!

We made it home to Cold Lake around 3.00pm.....

Just enough time to grab showers and head off to my brother Scoot & Tracy's for their christmas eve open house..... had some rum and eggnog and ate lots of yummy munchies....

By the time we got home....we were just about done for the day......I put Makenna to bed.....pulled out all the santa stuff and was in bed sound asleep by 9.30pm...LOL

Christmas Day was BUSY !!!!

Kenny, Makenna, Charly, Oreo and Smokey all running around.... It was a nut house....

We opened presents......played with new toys and then headed off ot my brothers to open presents with them......

We got lots of Gift Certificates, which we LOVE !!! We were very spoiled by everyone.....

We came home vegged out for a few hours, then it was back to my brothers for supper....

YUM YUM YUM !!!! TURKEY IS GOOD !!!!

In bed early christmas night !!!!

Went out yesterday and did some serious Boxing Day shopping !!!! Hit Canadian Tire, Zellers, Wal-mart & Reitman's !!!!

Got loads of stuff.......

Now i am just about ready to take down the tree...LOL

It's so ugly with that mess of opened gifts under it ...LOL

Boy we sure have been getting a lot of the white stuff lately.

my DH and my brother Scott have been working hard building a plow for the little truck so we can plow our mile long driveway... LOL

I was a little bit sceptical but the end result is awsome and it really works. So thats a plus... LOL

Another Week ..... Flys By !!!

Well another week here and gone.... spent a pretty quiet weekend around here wrapping presents and shopping. Kenny was around a lot since their rig broke and they were waiting on a compressor part to come up from the states.

Did some christmas baking and filled out some cards.

Took Makenna for her annual christmas photos on monday, they went pretty good. Not overly smiley but still nice.

Tonight is Laguna Beach night so i am super excited !!!

It is cold here like usual, i did have Makenna outside yesterday for about 2 hours, she was having so much fun.

The Weekend !!!

Pretty easy weekend around here, went ot the Santa clause Parade on Friday night. It was -36 so needless to say there was a pretty small turnout. It was quite chilly. It wasn't very long so we bared the temps... I did not take any pictures, too cold to take off my mitts.

Went out Saturday and did a little more shopping, nothing really spectacualar just odds and ends and some new leotards for Makenna. she will not keep socks on at all and with this coldi figure tights were the way to trick her. she seems to like them so thats great.

I got a phone call on saturday afternoond from Tracey's brother Curtis informing me that he was up here in Cold Lake, his buddy Ray's exgirlfriend had a baby last weekend so they were up to see the baby. Curtis wanted to know if i was gonna be home so he could come over for a visit.

I said sure, then i asked them where they were staying, they said they were getting a hotel. I of course told them to just come here for the night. So Curtis, Ray and Kat (the new girlfriend) all came over, I made supper and then we all hung out drinking some Corona's and watching Napolean Dynamite & Wedding Crashers till well past 1am.

Never saw much of Kenny he went ot work at 5am and never got home till 9.30pm !!!

Sunday was a quiet day didn't do much of anything at all, went ot the mall for a few minutes that was pretty much it....

Spent all day today cleaning my house and doing laundry !!!

Waiting for The Bachelor to come on. It's the season finale !!!!

Holy Snowy !!!

Well we sure are in the middle of being dumped on by mama nature... We are getting tonnes of snow, i can hardly see across the road and it's -28.... Nice !!!

Tomorrow night is our Santa Clause Parade, i wonder if they will cancel it due to the storm and temperatures ??? Who knows... I'll brave it anyways.

Well i have spent the whole week putting up trees and garlands and wreaths and wrapping presents. As well as putting up the inflatables in the front yard.

I went out last Saturday night and had a tonne of fun, we danced the night away at Legends... thanks Sharon for a fun night !!!

I feel so happy to be decorated, YEAH !!!

Last night was Laguna Beach !!! The Cabo episode, it was super good !

SUPER SATURDAY !!!

What a crazy ass busy day i have had...

Got up and at em early this morning.... had some brekky.... and then we were out the door. First stop was the gas station to fill up on fuel and we even got a car wash.... boy we were nice and shiny !!!

Then we headed to Sobeys to load up on groceries they had a good flyer on too so no problem getting a cart full, then we stopped into M & M Meat Shop, I am so tired of thinking up meal ideas for supper. I thought i would let them help me out.... I always get stuff there just this time i got some new things we never try too. Then we ran to Zellers really quickly to gander at the christmas stuff....I left rather unimpressed.

See this year i am doing my tree in the family room, in silver, white , light blue, light purple, aqua and a little bit of light pink.... I have never done a tree with a theme before but every year i am drawn to the simplicity of those colors. So this year i am trying it out. I LOVE snowflakes, so this is my snowflake tree... any hoo i am on the hunt for a new tree skirt, but i havent really fallen in love with any yet... I guess i'll just keep looking.

We went home uloaded all the grub, put it all away, ate lunch, then we headed to Wal-Mart to stock up on more supplies....

WAL-MART WAS A ZOO !!!

It was CRAZY !!!

We however had no problem filling yet another cart, there were hardly enough checkouts open.... you all know same old story...

As many of you may already know we are faced with a huge shortage of workers for all the different sectors of employment... They say that our Wal-Mart is short 80 staff. Every where you go there are signs up saying "NOW HIRING". Even Tim Hortons is paying $10 per hour, but the great lure of the Oil Patch is greater.

We came home unloaded yet again and then i started my cleaning spree, i dusted, cleaned bathrooms, vaccumed, scrubbed floor, did laundry.....I was like a machine !!! BOY IT FEELS GREAT !!!

Now i am making supper, so i should run and finish that task !!!

Okay i am asking for some help...and anyone who knows me probably knows it's pretty random when i will actually ask. It's not that i don't often need it, i am slightly on the stubborn side...

1. I want to add myspace Video Code to my site but i don't know where you insert the code...??? HELP ME !!! I know nothing about code at ALL !!!

2. How do you add all the little titles for the links on the left hand side of your blog ??? Do you guys even understand the Question.....I think i am confusing myself...YIKES !!!

3. How do you post a link to some thing without the www. showing.... do you know what i mean?

FUN IN THE SNOW !!!

We have been spending lots of time outside playing this week despite the chilly tempuratures. Makenna loves the snow and it's great to be able to have the dogs out playing and the can't really get dirty. That goes for Makenna too...

MIA...

Gosh i am finding it hard to keep up with this, okay well really it's only been a week but still...

I have been speanding a lot of time at home this week kinda going through my christmas stuff seeing what i want new and so on... last saturday i went and bought a new prelit tree... YEAH !!!

I am super excited... I have always wanted one... Last year we purchased our first artifical tree... and i just found it so easy to take care of that i vowed that next year i would buy an even better one a great big prelit.

I am putting up 3 trees in side and 1 outside on my porch... Christmas is all about christmas trees...LOL Just kidding but they are beautiful to look at. I am doing all i can to not put mine up till the end of next week...

We did get our lights up outside the house, but we havent turned them on yet. We still have all those inflatables to put out in out yard too... I starting making my garlands and i may even start wrapping some of the presents i have....

November 24th is the night of out Santa Clause Parade, so thats traditionally when people up here start turning on the lights. But there are some sillys who have them on already.

I am glad we live in the country on a few acres. If i was in a subdivision i would be in full competion mode.... Christmas decorating is gone crazy up here, my brother had switched to all LED but i am still a fan of the old lights with the more bright glow.

We have had a pretty quiet week around here, I am waitinh for OPRAH to come on cause she has the cast of Greys Anatomy on today !!! I am super excited.

Seeing how as i have been home a lot more this week, i really need to make a list of items we need at the store. I know we are almost out of TP and the cesar dressing is all gone. Okay off to tally up that list.

This has been around but is always worth reading again....!

Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said, "I love you and I wish you enough".

The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom". They kissed and the daughter left.

The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to so meone knowing it would be forever?".

Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?". "I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is - the next trip back will be for my funeral," she said.

"When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I wish you enough'. May I ask what that means?". She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone".

She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail and she smiled even more. When we said , 'I wish you enough', we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them". Then turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

Long time gone....

Gosh i am behind a week....

Where has it gone ???

Well my mom has gone back to PEI... BOO HOO !!! There were lots of tears shed yesterday morning at the airport...

We went down to the city on Monday afternoon, to Tracey & Johns. We went out ot supper at Chilis....It was yummy !!! Then we all hung out and watched the Country Music Awards that night.

Kenny, Makenna & I took Mom to the airport yesterday around 6.30am.... we watched her go through security then we went back to Tracey's...

We spentthe day at the West Edmonton mall, then had lunch at East Side Marios... We went ot Ikea, Costco, Toys R Us, and so on....

We loaded up on stuff and the nwe went to Pizza Delight for supper !!!! SO FRIGGIN GOOD !!! We even ordered more to take home...

We never arrived back here in Cold Lake till 9.30pm... needless to say we were tired...

TRICK OR TREAT

Here are a few photos from our Halloween. We got Makenna into her costume around 5pm and headed out the door by 5.30pm.

We dropped into Ray & Deannas, the haunted house on 19th street, Vanessa's, and some more folks.

We met up with Carolyn and Sydney and strolled 43rd St in the little red wagon... Teresa & Logan came by but he was way to tired to trick or treat. We went back to Carolyn's. The kids played. Sasha came over with Natalie & Matthew.

Then we were off to visit Daryll & Candace. Stephanie and Candace's parents were there too. We had a good visit.

Lastly we arrived at Uncle Scott & Aunt Tracy's around 8pm.....EEEKKKK !!! Makenna loaded up her goodie bag and then we were done for the night.

We came home and Daddy got Makennaready for bed and off they went...

I have so already been into her candy....BAD MOMMY !!!

P.S. It was -15 here tonight !!! CHILLY !!!

Okay, so i am getting a little behind...

What a friggin busy week and we never really did anything !!! Crazyniess !!!

I had a great 26th Birthday !!! Yeah for me, I had a pretty usual day. We went to Bonnyville to get some groceries (LOL), i know on my birthday. Remember i am a SAHM, gotta "get er done"... LOL. We went out for lunch at this awsome little spot called Moms Place, everything is homemade. They have the best grilled cheese ever !

Mom, Kenny, Jordan, Makenna and I all went to Boston Pizza for supper, It was delicous as well !!! I had the most amazing Brownie desert...YUMMY !!! Then we came home and they had a little surprise soiree for me here complete with friends and cake. Seeing how as i am the picture taker numero uno, we forgot ot take pictures. I was in the moment.

Kenny got me a wicked new mocha colored vest with a fur hood, some shirts from Reitmans, I ordered a new Digital camera and another white down filled vest too. I got some other great gifts too... Thanks guys !!!

Took Makenna to Vanessas on Wed & Thur Afternoons, I did a lot of running errands and stuff like that. Today I took Makenna to get her first real haircut, well just her bangs. I cut them once before but they never turned out as straight as i had planned. So i promised her mommy would never cut her hair again... she was really good and especially enjoyed the lollipop at the end of it all.

Went over to Scott & Tracys for a visit tonight, then stopped into Canadian Tire on my way home, sans Kenny. This way i didn't have to look at tools. I wandered around the christmas section and couldn't help my self to the purchaes of some new christmas decorations... BAD GIRL !!!

For the record ... I AM CHRISTMAS RETARTED THIS YEAR ... I am worse than a 6 year old.... I guess christmas changes once you have kids, you become one again...LOL

I have already purchased 3 of those 6FT inflatables for the yard, a snowman, a polar bear and a gingerbread man...

P.S. We are putting our christmas lights up on Sunday, before it gets too cold....I will use all the power within me to resist plugging them in till at least the 2nd last week in November.

Off to LLOYDMINISTER tomorrow for some more retail therapy, but Kennys coming too. I will restain myself...LOL

Fall Bull-A-Rama

Well tonight we went to the Rodeo... well the bull riding part of it. It was so good, we had a bawl. Makenna loved it she kept saying Horsey and Bull. It was part of the CPCA Finals. My mom loved it ans the arena was packed.

Too Much TV or Not !!!

What do you think?

Okay so it's almost winter... which means we are definatly in must see TV mode. I was talking to a friend today and we got on to the subject of TV. I was talking about all the shows i watch and she was like oh my heavens how do you get anything else done... I was a little bit shell shocked...I was like haven't you heard of time shifting from Star choice... She didn't get it... so here is my list of all the shows i watch... Do i watch a lot of TV ???
